At that point we would be joining the Hayduke Trail (a route that actually begins in Arches National Park in Utah and ends in Zion National Park). WebThese were our times: Kaibab- From trail head to Tip Off- 2hrs Tonto - Tip off to Bright angel camp - 1:45 Bright angel to rim - 2:15 Total movement time: 6 hrs Ascent: 1157M Descent: 1258M Distance: 23K Carried 3L water each and that was plenty. Didn’t need to refill. We started at 10:30am to avoid the bitter morning cold.
